Who We Are
Director Sales and Communication
Mark McGuire
Mark is responsible for the creation and expansion of TribaSpace's distribution strategy, as well as TribaSpace's positioning in the global market. Having been actively involved in the fashion industry for the past twenty years, he began his career in sales and studied cultural studies at Humboldt University Berlin. With his agency b:sides network, he advised and oversaw international fashion and lifestyle projects for over 10 years.
His next career move led him to Berlin's Bread and Butter, where he was employed as Marketing Director for 5 years. Craving to once again get closer to his passion for international fashion networking, Mark set up fashionarchitecture, a global network for the industry, here he developed various fashion projects in Naples, Düsseldorf, and Berlin. Mark is an avid lover of shoes and has a passion for advanced streetwear. Magazines, blogs and observing fashion capitals provide constant inspiration for his personal international fashion networking.

Product Manager
Joachim Stein
Joachim Stein started out as a neo–conceptual artist and has worked as a conceptual designer of websites and web applications since the mid-nineties. After finishing his studies of fine art in France and Sweden and shortly before the bubble burst, Stein joined the infamous Berlin internet / video / fashion / event company 3000 as head of web development.
After a year of conceiving and developing location based service websites for Gate5 AG (acquired by Nokia in 2006), Stein went back to working freelance and specialized in helping cultural institutions such as Rooseum (Malmö) and Vanabbe Museum (Eindhoven) develop their online communication and technical infrastructure. Joachim is co–organizer of Pecha Kucha Night Berlin (http://pechakucha.de) and sporadically blogs on joaoflux.net (http://joaoflux.net).

International Sales Manager
Valarie Badame
Valarie hails from snowy Buffalo, New York. She made her way to NYC in the fall of 2000 and in 2007, she ran away to a much colder, more European Berlin. Once in Berlin, she dove straight into the city's vibrant music scene and landed a job booking gigs for some of the most talented electronic music artists in Berlin.
In late 2009, she met up with the founders of TribaSpace and hasn't seen the fashion industry the same way since. When she isn't scheming about how to get every person in the fashion world online, you can find her traveling, dancing, reading a good book, and looking for designers who love the colour black as much as she does.

Social Media and PR Manager
Samantha Garfield
A lifelong interest in merging aesthetics with academia led Samantha to create a major in Convergence Media and Metropolitan Anthropology at New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. Her freelance work as a Trend Scout and Photographer for Stylesight, WGSN, and RAREculture landed her in Berlin, where she now acts as TribaSpace's Social Media and PR Manager, as well as on-staff photographer.
Samantha is also a weekly contributor to the TribaSpace blog. Samantha collects rare edibles, photographs urban still life, researches deep-sea creatures, marvels over linguistics, and maintains an internet habit. Though 2010 has offered up Berlin as a metropolitan mistress, Samantha loves and cherishes her native New York City in sickness and in health, as long as they both shall live.
